Cubs Exercise 2024 Option on Yan Gomes

Shortly after reporting that the Cubs have exercised their $16.5 million option on Kyle Hendricks, Jesse Rogers noted that they’re also bringing Yan Gomes back on a $6 million option. These were both simple moves, now the real work starts.

Jed Hoyer needs to be very active in free agency and the trade market to strengthen the rotation and bullpen while adding power to the lineup. Should be fun.
