The Chicago Cubs have announced their 2023 Spring Training schedule, which will open with a home game against the San Francisco Giants on Saturday, February 25, 2023. The schedule includes 18 home games at Sloan Park in Mesa, Arizona, including three split-squad games.
There is at least one weekend home game every week but no weekend with both Saturday and Sunday home games. Also of note, there will be three Friday home games, including one against the White Sox on March 10, with none of those games followed by a Saturday home game.
In addition, there is one home night game currently scheduled on Tuesday, March 14, against the Colorado Rockies. Two off days have been added on March 13 and 20.
The World Baseball Classic, featuring teams from the United States, Canada, Mexico, Colombia, and a TBD qualifier, will be hosted at Chase Field in Phoenix, Arizona on March 11-15. That Friday is also St. Patrick’s Day, with split-squad home and away games for the Cubs. That will certainly be the week to be in town if you’re planning to come.
