Watch: Nelson Velázquez Blasts First Career MLB Home Run Against Brewers

Nelson Velázquez has been a rising star in the Cubs minor league system and was named MVP of the Arizona Fall League in 2021. He made his MLB debut back on May 30 but hasn’t hit a home run in the big leagues yet despite his exceptional power numbers throughout his MiLB career.

That just changed with this 418-foot blast. This shot gave the Cubs an early 1-0 lead.
