Chicago Cubs Lineup (3/26/22) – Frazier Leads Off, Morel at 3B, Smyly Starting

Drew Smyly didn’t get a chance to start for the Cubs in his fist tour with the team, but now he’s aiming to earn a spot on the staff this spring. He’ll face the Padres this afternoon as the Cubs head to Peoria with what looks like a mixed squad.

Clint Frazier has been hitting well and he’ll get the start in left, followed by Nico Hoerner at short and Patrick Wisdom at first. Yan Gomes cleans up behind the plate, Alfonso Rivas is the DH, and Michael Hermosillo is in right. Rafael Ortega bats seventh in center, Ildemaro Vargas plays second, and Christopher Morel bats ninth at third base.
