Kris Bryant ripped a single on the first pitch he saw from Mets’ starter Marcus Stroman to get the Cubs offense started, and Javy Báez wasted little time paying that off. El Mago launched his 16th home run of the season into the home run apple at Citi Field to give the Cubs, and Kyle Hendricks, an early 2-0 lead in the series finale with the Mets.
