Cubs Add Cory Abbott, Keegan Thompson, Christopher Morel to 40-Man Roster

The Cubs announced Friday that they have added righties Cory Abbott and Keegan Thompson, along with infielder Christopher Morel to the 40-man roster. Those three are now protected from the Rule 5 Draft coming up on December 10, though it also means several other players could be plucked away.

The roster now stands at 37 and we’ll have more on these players in a subsequent post.
