Watch: Highlights From Chicago Cubs’ First Intrasquad Scrimmage Saturday at Wrigley Field
A lot has happened in the last few days for the Chicago Cubs. On Wednesday the team reported to Wrigley Field for the start of Summer Camp. On Thursday we found out that Jose Quintana cut his left thumb watching dishes.
The Cubs held their first on-field workout on Friday. And then on Saturday the team held their first intrasquad scrimmage, a matchup of Kyle Hendricks against Yu Darvish that ended in a 0-0 tie.
One thing that I haven’t quite figured out is why the Cubs new sports network, Marquee, hasn’t been showing more live action from Wrigley Field. Maybe they don’t want competitors seeing what they’re working on (though, I doubt it). Or perhaps it’s because they want to spread the coverage out between TV and social media channels.
Whatever the case, my hope is that Marquee starts showing us more live coverage. Until they do, we’ll keep looking for nuggets like this video compilation showing highlights from Saturday’s workout at Wrigley Field.
