Chicago Cubs Lineup (3/10/20): Happ Leads Off, Bote 3B, Hoerner 2B, Chatwood Starting

The Cubs are back in action after a day off that followed a split-squad weekend, and they’re going with a lineup that looks an awful lot like something that could be employed once the games matter. Kris Bryant is the lone exception as he gets a little extra time at home with his wife, but the rest of the crew heading to Scottsdale to face the Giants is pretty solid just the same.

Ian Happ is in center and leading off in his stead, with Anthony Rizzo and Javy Báez following behind in their usual spots. Kyle Schwarber is in left, Willson Contreras is the DH, Jason Heyward is in right, Victor Caratini is catching, David Bote is at third, and Nico Hoerner plays second.

Tyler Chatwood takes the mound against the Giants as he tries to stake his claim to a starting role. It’s his to lose at this point, but David Ross hasn’t made a decision yet and Alec Mills has been making a strong push for the job.

First pitch is set for 3:05pm CT on Marquee Sports Network, with MLB.com on the radio call.
