Kyle Hendricks to 10-Day IL with Shoulder Inflammation, Rowan Wick Recalled
Well, this is just wonderful news. Kyle Hendricks has been placed on the 10-day injured list with right shoulder inflammation after Friday’s loss in Los Angeles. The righty wasn’t quite as sharp as he had been over the previous month or so, but he didn’t really display any signs of injury. However, you never can be too careful with pitchers.

Due to the off-day on Monday, Cubs can keep rotation intact sans Hendricks until the 22nd vs. Mets.

In order to fill the roster spot, the Cubs have recalled right-handed pitcher Rowan Wick. He is in LA and will be available Saturday night out of the bullpen.
