Watch: Willson Contreras Cracks Very Loud 3-Run Homer

The Cubs were without a hit two outs into the 4th inning, but they had two on after Jason Heyward reached on an error and Kris Bryant walked. Willson Contreras got down 1-2 against Padres pitcher Brett Kennedy and then made a very loud noise to put the Cubs up 3-0.

I think that’s what Joe Maddon means when he talks about “opportunity hitting.”

  1. In spite of all the media hype about “other” free agents(one as of yet, still unsigned), I believe the Cubs have a HOF manager, most of their personnel are already in place(could use someone to give Contreras an occasional blow every few days), and they’ll be just fine.
