Roster News: Yu Darvish to 10-Day DL (Retroactive to May 23) with Triceps Tendinitis, Rosario Called Up
After making a move earlier in the day to bring up catcher Chris Gimenez, the Cubs have announced that Yu Darvish will not be making tomorrow night’s start and will be placed on the 10-day disabled list (retroactive to May 23) with right triceps tendinitis. Tyler Chatwood will take Yu’s place in the rotation tomrrow, and the Cubs have yet to identify who will make Monday’s start. Randy Rosario makes a quick return to the Cubs to take the space on the roster. Guess that explains why Joe Maddon said Chris Gimenez would not be catching Yu Darvish on Sunday…
