Chicago Cubs Lineup: Jose Quintana Makes Second Spring Start, Happ Leads Off

There’s no way to avoid thinking about the 2016 World Series — which the Chicago Cubs won, by the way — when the Cubs play the Indians, even if it is spring training. There will be nothing close to the same level of drama in tonight’s game, but it sure is fun to reminisce, isn’t it?

Jose Quintana is set to make his second appearance of the spring tonight. Most of the starters this have thrown about two innings, although that should start stretching out soon. So don’t be surprised if we get to see Quintana stick around for three, maybe four innings tonight.

Ian Happ, who has been absolutely scorching this spring, will lead off the order as the designated hitter. Just how hot has Happ been? He’s slashing a ridiculous .471/.500/1.294 in Cactus League play. And yes, that last number is his slugging percentage and not his OPS.

Happ is followed in the order by Kyle Schwarber playing left field and Albert Almora, who left yesterday’s game early with a bloodied face, back in center field. By the way, did you see that home run he hit yesterday?

Following Almora is Tommy La Stella playing third base, Chris Gimenez catching, Efren Navarro at first, Peter Bourjos in right, Ryan Court at second, and Mike Freeman playing shortstop.

Gametime is 7 pm CT and will be televised on WGN.
