One of the more interesting Cubs storylines to follow this offseason has been Kyle Schwarber’s efforts to “transform” his body. The Cubs gave us our first sneak peak of the leaner War Bear via Snapchat a little over a week ago, then the Cubs slugger showed up at the Winter Meetings looking to flaunt his new look.

Hoyer on Schwarber showing up to winter meetings to flaunt new physique:
"I love the fact that he drove over here in some ways to show it off. I don't blame him. I probably would too. … He's proud of himself. He's not hiding. He's bummed it's not a little warmer."

On Friday, Jesse Rogers of ESPN Chicago was invited to spend the day with Schwarber as he went through his typical workout regimen. Even a casual observer should be able to see noticeable differences already in Schwarber’s physique and movement, and you have to appreciate the effort he’s putting in to be in peak condition for the 2018 season. Take a look at some various workout videos and hear from Schwarber himself in Rogers’ piece on the events of the day.
