Chicago Cubs Lineup: Lackey Pitching as Cubs Celebrate Central Division Title

Come one come all, there’s going to be a party a Wrigley today! This is the first day the Chicago Cubs (93-53) can say that they are indeed the National League Central champions. After eight years, the Cubs are on top again and man, does it feel great!

John Lackey will take the mound today for what will certainly be a fun game. The Cubs will be looking to stay healthy the rest of the way home, 16 more games if you’re counting. Yes, there is still 10 percent of the season remaining and yet the Cubs have clinched their division. I guess that’s what happens when you have a 17 game lead over the second place team.

As you’d expect, there’s only one regular starter in the lineup today, Jorge Soler. Matt Szczur is leading off followed by Baez, Soler and Contreras batting clean-up. What will make this game even more fun is if the Cubs can put up a ton of runs today, especially with this lineup in. It’s going to be a lot of fun at Wrigley today, my friends.

Here’s today’s Chicago Cubs lineup.
