Watch: MLB Network Released Another Preview of the World Series Documentary

The rain delay only lasted 17 minutes, but maybe, just maybe, it was enough to wash away 108 years of frustration.

That’s the opening line from the sneak peek of “The 2016 World Series” MLB Network teased Sunday and now I’m getting all antsy in the pantsies again. It’s amazing how skillful editing, an emotional musical score, and the right storyteller can put you right back in the moment of the 10th inning of Game 7 in Cleveland. Known more for his comedic roles, Vince Vaughn delivers a measured, almost passive, narration for what was probably the most intense inning of baseball any Cubs fan has ever seen.

The full documentary is scheduled to air on FS1 on Friday, December 2 at 7pm ET. If you want to get your hands on a copy of the DVD or Blu-Ray, you can pre-order here. And if you’d prefer to get the video in your hot little hands on the video without worrying about shipping, it should hit stores on Tuesday, December 6.

I ordered my copy roughly 30 minutes after Anthony Rizzo tucked the final game ball of 2016 into his back pocket, which means I’ll have to make due with the DVR’ed version of the doc until probably sometime in February. Okay, MLBShop.com says they’ll ship no later than Thursday, December 15, which is probably right about the time I’ll get the hat I ordered right after Game 7.
