Chicago Cubs Lineup – World Series Game 5: Lester on the Hill for Final Home Game At Wrigley

My oh my, what a year it’s been. And here we stand, so close to the promised land yet, seemingly, so far away. This team has dazzled and amazed us all. From ninth inning come-back wins, to offensive eruptions the likes of which we haven’t seen for quite a while around Wrigley Field. A symphony of pitching backed up by a crescendo of spectacular defense.

Tonight the Cubs will close a chapter of their season by playing the final home game at Wrigley Field. Jon Lester will fittingly lead the way for the Cubs. He will be standing tall, against all odds, with the entirety of Cubs fans united behind him and the entire team. Jon has played in some big games, he’s ready for this and I cannot wait to watch.

Joe Maddon is marching out a familiar lineup tonight with no big surprises. Jason Heyward is back in tonight after going 2-for-4 in last night’s contest. Javy Baez is at second and Ben Zobrist stays in left field.

This is going to be a game to remember and I can’t wait to see it.
